An independent project in development

Carry the context that matters.

CAi is being built as a personal memory and context companion—designed to help people revisit and connect details they choose to share.

The direction is clear. The memory and offline capabilities are still evolving; CAi does not promise perfect recall.

The idea

Less starting over.
More useful context.

Most conversations are treated as separate moments. CAi's goal is to make user-provided context useful over time: remember what matters, bring it back when it is relevant, and be clear when it does not know.

This is the product being built toward. Today, CAi's saved-context retrieval is limited and should not be treated as complete or always accurate.

01

Keep the useful detail

Build from information a person has chosen to share—not invented assumptions.

02

Bring context back

Connect earlier details to a new question when the system can find a reliable match.

03

Be honest about limits

Say when memory or the available model is not enough to give a dependable answer.

The beginning

Built one difficult night at a time.

Overnight, November 1–2, 2025

CAi began as a project Ayush Lincoln was building on an aging Redmi 9i. When the indoor network made it difficult to keep working, he moved to the roof to find a better signal.

Around 1:10 a.m., the chat stopped keeping messages. After hours of debugging, Ayush recalls getting it working again at about 3:45 a.m. He went to sleep around 4.

That night did not prove what CAi would become. It marked the start of a habit: build, test, face what breaks, and keep improving the work.

Where CAi is today

Clear about what works—and what is still missing.

CAi combines online language generation with local browser capabilities. The experience depends on the available model and the context the system can retrieve.

Online

Cloud model responses

When online, CAi can send the current message and selected context through its server to Groq for a response.

Offline

Browser-based offline responses

On supported devices, CAi can use the browser’s built-in model to respond locally.

Current limit

Memory is still developing

CAi may not connect every detail from earlier conversations yet. If something important is missing, include that detail again in your message.

The work ahead

Make memory useful.
Prove it with real use.
